Only call 911 from a land line!

From a cell phone call 777-3211 which routes directly to OPD dispatch.  For MEDICAL OR FIRE EMERGENCIES ONLY, you can call the Fire Department directly at 510-444-1616.

To report a crime that has already happened, call the non-emergency number 777-3333, or fill in OPD's Online Crime Reporting form.  You'll find the link on their Report a Crime page.

What Beat do I Live In?

To learn what police beat you're in, check the Police District Locator.  Enter your address and the map will show:

  • what policing area you're in,
  • what beat you're in,
  • the name and meeting address of the local NCPC,
  • dates and times of the meetings,
  • the name and email of the Neighborhood Services Coordinator (NSC)
  • an address where you can reach your beat's Community Resource Officer (CRO)


Safe Gun Storage Talk at June Meeting

At the June 2014 NCPC meeting, Paula Hawthorn spoke on the ASK program, from Asking Saves Kids, a program that encourages people to ask whether guns are stored safely in houses where their small children may go to play.  To see the entire presentation, click here.
