What Beat do I Live In?

To learn what police beat you're in, check the Police District Locator.  Enter your address and the map will show:

  • what policing area you're in,
  • what beat you're in,
  • the name and meeting address of the local NCPC,
  • dates and times of the meetings,
  • the name and email of the Neighborhood Services Coordinator (NSC)
  • an address where you can reach your beat's Community Resource Officer (CRO)

Do you ever collect your mail and find that an item has been opened and then taped shut?  This is especially likely to happen with personal cards, which may or may not have had a check or a gift card in them.  The envelope may or may not be stamped "Received unsealed" with a U.S.P.S. stamp.

This issue came up on the north Oakland NextDoor groups, and a citizen has identified the Federal law enforcement officer who is responsible for investigating these cases in our area.  The NCPC appreciates the support from the neighbors.

The U.S. Post Office, and the government, take this very seriously - mail theft is a federal offense.  If this happens to you, you should contact this person:

Davis Mendelsohn

Mr. Mendelsohn will issue a case number for each instance reported to him.
